Petite Review: Vince Cashmere Cardigan in Hot Pink

I have never owned any Vince pieces because they are so insanely expensive so this is my very first- pretty exciting! After seeing Alterations Needed's post here with her Vince purple cashmere cardigan in XS- I was inspired! When I happened to find this at Nordstrom Rack- I got so excited!  I never thought to pair 2 shades of any color together and have look so good! She has phenomenal taste! Here's my Vince hot pink cashmere cardigan paired with a lighter shade Ann Taylor Loft top underneath.....
Cashmere is so soft.....and I love the color hot pink...How could I resist?
Top: Ann Taylor Loft- size PXXS (similar HERE)
Cardigan: Vince hot pink Cashmere- size Small (similar HERE)
Skirt: Bebe Gray Pinstripe pencil skirt- size 0 (similar HERE)
Necklace: Gray Pearls
Purse: Chanel Grand Cavier Shopper Tote

The pro's to this sweater is the fact that it's the softest cardigan I own. It's made out of 100% pure cashmere so it feels so RIGHT!!! And the sleeves are 3/4 which is perfect.  Had it been a regular sleeve, I would have had to pass.  The ruching in the middle is makes it so unique and stands out from other normal cardigans. And where the cardigan hits the waist is a great length- not too long and not too short. You really can't beat the quality of a Vince cashmere cardigan.

The con's is that there was no XS which I would have preferred because the fit would have been much better but I just couldn't say no to this. How can anyone say no to hot pink cashmere?  I had to belt this cardigan so it wouldn't look so big on me.  The small is a bit wider than the XS as you can see in AN's post. Her XS fits much nicer and slimmer.
Belts are so hard to find for petites so this is a random belt I happened to take off of a blazer I no long wear and it is black patent to match the shoes. Luckily the belt has no left-over material that hangs and sticks out like most belts do!

The small fits OKAY and I guess I can make it work because I love it so much. I like my cardigans to be more fitted but if I ever run into an XS- I may have to exchange it:) There were more Pro's than Con's so I can't complain.
I only have 2 cashmere pieces that I own but now am officially obsessed! It is so soft and I just love it. I am trying to only buy fewer things that are of quality vs. quanity. That is my goal for 2010!
I honestly never thought I would spend this much on a cardigan but I know this will be a piece that I can wear for many years to come. You really do get what you pay for.

I like seeing the same pieces on fellow bloggers...you both look great in the cardigan! I agree with quality vs quantity...unfortunately places like h&m stand in the way.

You know I am your biggest fan! I looove your outfits! Where can I find a belt that will fit? May I ask where did you purchase your belt? Thank you so much and have a wonderful week to come! I recently resigned from my teaching job and I have an interview at a firm. When I find the right job I am going to be bombarding you with so many clothing questions..lol!

@ AN- Cashmere is definitely DIVINE...I am now officially obsessed!!!! :)

@ Vicen- Absolutely you can add my blog to your website! Thanks so much!

@ April- Awe...........you are TOO SWEET! Thank you so much for all your kind words- that really makes me feel GREAT and that's why I enjoy blogging is because of readers like you!!!! YAY!!!!! You totally made my day!!! The belt I am wearing is a random belt I took off one of my cheapie Junior blazers from Macy's BUT I just went to H & M today and found 2 - yes 2 XS belts that fit my 23 inch waist- so there is HOPE!!!!! I will post them hopefully this week!! I have the worst time finding belts that fit! Banana Republic has XXS belts that fit but the skinny belts that are online right now is sold out in the black:( And good luck at your interview at the firm- you will totally get it:) And please bombard me with as many questions as you'd like!!! :)

You can definitely add me on your side bar. Thank you for the suggestions on the pencil skirts--I have 2 H&M skirts in size 2 and I agree they are a FANTASTIC fit for sure! I am nervous about the interview tomorrow. I am pretty much switching careers from teaching to admin so I don't know, but I really want this job! LOL! Thank you soo much for telling me about the Banana Republic skinny belts. I will try and find it--it is hard for us girls with small waists to find belts! I have a 23" waist too, so you are a perfect match for sizing. :)
