I LOVE the last one, it is so classic! Gold and black can sometimes be tacky, but there is nothing tacky about Chanel! My handbag designer of choice is currently Balenciaga..what an expensive habit :)

ReplyDeleteAnnie, you look adorable in your video. Love it! It was such fun watching you going through your Chanel collections. Just want to share a few tips that my SA told me while I was there yesterday. She said for light beige lamb skin bags (not caviar) you probably want to seal it (Chanel does it for you). If you are wearing a dark colored piece of clothing, the color can transfer to the bag. It's too late when that happens. I guess the lamb skin is more porous and susceptible to color transfer. Something that you might want to consider, or just be careful when you are wearing dark clothes.

After seeing this, I definitely want to get Caviar over Lambskin. I had lambskin Balenciagas which were super soft and luxe, but I was always afraid of it getting scratched / marred. Hubby has already agreed to buy me one as my mommy present :D

This video seriously made me rethink my choice, the GST is beautiful and seems well structured as a brand new bag but seems to lose its boxy shape over time especially on both sides. I would cry especially at that price.

ReplyDeleteI have a solution for your GST without adding creases. DO NOT STORE IT AWAY UPRIGHT AS SUGGESTED. GST or PST is a top handle bag, the heavy weight of hardware handles will drag and sag your bag if let seated on its bottom. Empty out the bag and just hang it on a coat rack after each use. Allow the leather to relax to its original shape. Trust me on this one! It works on all my top heavy bags.

Chanel's are not sold online at Bloomingdales. You have to go in-store and only certain Bloomie's have Chanel boutiques. This promo was last year so not sure if they will run it again :(
