Petite Lookbook: Girly Pink Pearls and Lace

Any readers that have been with me for awhile know that I am very girly:) I love anything pink and this is one of my most girly outfits I have posted! I found this pink lace skirt in-store at F21 and this H & M gray suede stretch belt and was shocked at how tiny both were!

I am in a different room! Hooray! Finally found one of my guest bedrooms with somewhat decent lighting.

I am not usually a "t-shirt" type of girl but I love H & M's divided tee's. I have them in several colors and the size 2 is very fitted (which I love). I like pairing plain and fitted tees with ornate or detailed skirts.

This gray stretchy belt, I just got recently for only $7.95 and it fits like a glove. Being petite and having a size 23 waist is very difficult for me to find belts. Even if I wear them on my lower waist, I still can't find belts that fit! I have several H & M belts in XS that seems to do the trick.

This skirt is lined which is nice so you don't have to worry about it being see-thru although you do have to wear nude panties just to be safe!

Pink and gray and one of my favorite color combos for outfits! Whether it's a work or casual outfit, I love pairing the two together. The tag on the skirt says its peach but it's really more of a light baby pink.

I just love these type of outfits! They are comfortable, cute and easy to throw on for a day out.

Even though these Ann Taylor pumps don't fit me perfectly, I am making them work because they are so nice!

I normally would have never thought to pair this belt with this outfit. Before starting this blog, I would have just tucked in the shirt with the skirt with no accessories or belt. I am forcing myself to be creative!

If you are looking for a tiny belt and a tiny skirt- go find these two items! I couldn't believe how perfect they fit! The skirt has an elastic waist band which is nice for small waists. Since this is from the F21 line, their XS's always run very small.

Bebe Fitting Room Finds

I hope everyone found some goodies this weekend! It's not over yet so I wanted to post some goodies I tried on at Bebe and H & M that some of you ladies may be interested in! Up first is the Bebe fitting room. I've been finding myself a little bored of all the same brands and styles so I wanted to make it a point to try on different stuff that I normally wouldn't buy just for fun! Here is a washed silk cami ruffle dress in XS:

I normally wear an XXS in Bebe dresses but they only had an XS in-store. It fit very comfortably and the straps are adjustable!

Comes in revolutionary rose and mocha color....I prefer the pink!

I loved loved everything about this dress and was ALMOST going to buy it but I want to wait for a coupon! The risk to that is that the tiny sizes will sell out and you will have to hunt one down.

I have nothing like this in my wardrobe only because it's so tough finding these type of tops to fit us petites. And it's especially hard for me because of my sizing. I am narrow around but have a bigger bust so it's particularly tricky for me. This fit like a glove and I could still breathe! Verdict: Bought it! I thought it was a little on the spendy side for this tiny corset but it was too cute for me to pass up. The herringbone skirt was a tad too big in the waist. Hard to tell from photos but they didn't have a 00 in stock. Those always sell out first. For petites similar to my measurements, a XXS in dresses, XS in tops, and 00 in skirts.

Satin Silk Ruffle Blouse- size XS

On the hanger, this blouse looked really promising but it was too big. I had to tuck it up because it was just so frumpy looking. I think the XXS may have fit much better. The material and style were super cute but it didn't look right. Didn't end up getting.

Silk strapless Top (similar HERE)- size XS

I couldn't find the exact top online so they must be sold out but I LOVE this top. It's hard to capture how cute it is in real life but it fit perfectly and I couldn't resist. They only had ONE left in the store and it had a blemish so I had to have it ordered and shipped to me from a different store. Once I get it, I can take a pic of the sku for anyone who wants to hunt it down. I can see this with a blazer and skirt for work or just with some skinny jeans on the weekends. The top was much more expensive than I wanted to pay! $49.50 was crossing that threshold but I just loved it so much!

Pinstripe Trouser Shorts- size 0

These were a bit too big for me but it is on sale for $39.50 and comes in a 00 online. For those of you who love dressy shorts, these are adorable.

Silk Ruffle Halter top- size XS

Again, this would have fit much better in an XXS. For some reason, this Bebe store did not carry any XXS but it's still available online. Super cute and very Ann Taylor/LOFT like. 100% silk and it was so pretty!

Moto Jacket in medium grey- size XS

I have been dying to try on this MOTO jacket so here was my chance! This color did NOT look like medium gray to me and online the color they say is medium gray looks khaki/brown to me. The XS fits nicely but the arms are too long. The leather is super soft. This jacket also comes in black too.

Petite Lookbook: Peaches for under $50 and Tiny Skirt Alert

Sorry I have been MIA for the past several days....just got back from visiting my family in the Midwest!!! If I haven't responded to emails or post questions, I will tomorrow!!:) I was really excited to shop at different places other than where I live. Here is an outfit for under $50 at H & M I put together:

Tiny skirt alert!! This skirt runs really small! It fits me perfectly but I could have sized up if I wanted to. I like how fitted it is and the waist fit snug without being too tight. It's hard to tell by the lighting but the outfit is PEACH. The skirt has a really pretty texture which you will see a close-up of!

I was really hoping to get tons of goodies going back home but I was really disappointed! I think it may have to do with the timing of the season. I normally go home in early June but this year I had to wait until late August which all the cute Summer clothes are now gone.

I love this necklace! It's a ribbon necklace so you can adjust the length but I wanted to incorporate it with the tank so it looks like it's part of the tank. I thought it went well with the plain tank and textured skirt. And for the price of this outfit- which I love myself a good bargain, I was quite pleased!

It really goes to show, you don't always have to spend the big bucks to have similar designer looks! I love saving money on things as long as you don't compromise the quality!!! Petite Review: GAP Petite Denim Jeans- Size 00P

As you all may know, I have been on a perfect pair of jeans hunt for quite some time. I don't own too many pairs simply because it's just too difficult for me to find the right fit. I have one H & M young (girls) dark denim skinny jeans in size 11/12 and a few Y.M.I's from a million years ago but that's about it! I was perusing late at night on Gap.com and found a pair of skinny cropped petite jeans on sale for only $24.99 and still available in 00p. I thought how is it possible that there is still a 00p left?? I have never had much luck with any Gap jeans but I said what the heck! Well here they are: (warning- terrible photos)

SIZE/FIT: I was shocked when I opened up the package and the jeans appeared to be small! I quickly tried them on and much to my surprise, the cropped jeans in 00p is petite friendly! No gap in the back waist, and the thighs, and hips fit! The denim material is no too thick or too thin, it felt nice. I like cropped jeans because I always end up cropping my H & M skinny jeans anyway so this is nice! You can wear them cuffed like the model or un-cuffed, I prefer un-cuffed! They even came pre-cuffed.

QUALITY: Gap Jeans in my opinion are pretty nice quality and made quite well. The stitching is very clean and straight. They seem to be well made and I know they last forever! I have never owned a pair before but hubby has had some for years.

PRICE POINT: If you get GAP denim on sale, then the price point is low but if you pay full price, it's in the medim-higher range. It's not as expensive as high end designers but still good quality for the price.

VERDICT:Keeping! Trust me- they look much better and more flattering in person! I just did a horrible job at taking photos because of my time constraints! For $24.99 and they fit, its definitely a keeper! Not everyone is a fan of cropped pants/denim for petites because it may shorten our already short legs....any thoughts?

SIZE/FIT: I had high hopes for these but they fit differently than the cropped even though both are 00p. So obviously the cut has a lot to do with the sizing of the petite Gap Denim. There is a big gap in the back - which I cannot stand! And thru the thighs and hips fit but just looks and feels funny. A little too baggy in some areas and just doesn't flow like it should. Unlike the cropped denim's- you just know instantly that it doesn't fit right. The length is a couple inches too long for my taste. I'm curious if the straight leg skinnies may be better for my body. Any thoughts?

VERDICT:Sadly returning:( My journey continues....

After many failed attempts to try to use up my gift card at the Forever 21 stores, I went online and found tons of cute stuff! I found two tops that I was very anxious to get from the Love 21 line in XS. Up first is the orange ruffle top!

This one doesn't fit perfectly but it fits well enough to get away with. The only complaint I have is that it has a side zipper so it doesn't tuck in well- which we all know I love to tuck in my tops!

Here it is un-tucked: (I wouldn't wear it un-tucked with a skirt- just doesn't look right) But I can see me wearing it with some skinny jeans or leggings!!

This top reminds me of the Ann Taylor Charmeuse ruffle top. I just love this bright, bold orange color! I can wear it for fall underneath a cardigan and dress it up or down. Not bad for $20! The fit could be a bit smaller but I think I can deal with it. Totally keeping this!!!

I attempted a brown skinny belt.....didn't like it.

Here is the 100% silk top in XS:

Ooooo the color is just stunning!!! I so wish it fit better! I even tried tucking it in but it's just too big! And alterations on silk is way too much for me to spend on a F21 top. I am so sad that this is too big. Even too big to get away with. The material is 100% silk and super soft against the skin!!!! The detail on the ruffle area is lovely. But unfortunately, it's going back! :(

Do you ever put on an outfit and it just feels right? It's always on the days that I don't plan on wearing a good outfit that it ends up that it's one of my favorites! Here is my new LOFT ruffled jacket! I bought this when I got my other LOFT items just to get free shipping but ended up loving it and now keeping it...

Here's another background- woohoo!!! Hopefully once I get my tripod, I can play around with different backdrops so no one gets bored with the same spot in my backyard!

It was quite early in the morning before work so I was really rushing! The jacket is a rosewood color but it looks tan in the pics. This jacket also comes in black and is not on sale for $69.99 PLUS an additional 30% off! Not bad for a jacket that fits this nicely.

It fits everywhere- shoulders, arms and waist! The length of the jacket is perfect for petites too! I wasn't in love with this when I first saw it online and I believe other petite bloggers have tried this on too. But it just felt good when I put it on which is usually a good sign!

The skirt is actually cream in different lighting but it shows up a little on the whiter side in the pictures. What a difference a bracelet and necklace makes!

If anyone is wondering why I always have my hand in this position is because I cannot stand hair in my face..LOL

Petite Fall Fashion Preview: My Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, BEBE and Aqua Picks

I didn't have anything planned for today's post so I thought I would talk about my picks for this Fall fashion collection! Is it almost really Fall? How is that even possible? Where did this Summer go? My picks are all very petite friendly and I hope you like them! Usually the really petite sizes go fast so I wanted to share with everyone what I like for Fall. I am so happy to see tweed is still in because I am still in love with my Theory Tweed suit which I can't seem to get enough of and cannot wait to wear it again and again for Fall and Winter! I also like this deep aqua silk crepe blouse- it has the cute sleeves I like and is so feminine and pretty!

Even though Banana Republic hasn't made me too happy recently, I am hoping they come out with some cute stuff for Fall. Here are some dresses that I know is petite friendly:

Banana Republic Sheath Dress

As you know, I love my sheath dresses and Banana Republic XXSP or 00P usually fit me well with little to no alterations so it's worth the investment for me. This gray (love gray) is so versatile and I can see throwing a cute cardigan with a belt for a 2nd look.

Cozy Petite Ruffle Cardigan

I clearly cannot get enough ruffles! And Banana Republic petite sweaters fit me and I usually get a lot of wear out of all my BR cardigans! I highly recommend them! I also have my eye on this light wool pencil skirt in navy. They still have 00p and other tiny sizes left so hurry!

Bebe Moto Leather Jacket

I am normally not a big "jacket" person but this one is super cute and it's REAL leather. Bebe sizing runs extremely small- especially jackets. I usually have to size up!

Bebe Pinstriped Skirt

Many of you have asked about several of my Bebe skirts (all which I love) and for some reason, I have really good luck with Bebe work skirts! They 00 or 0 fits me perfectly with no alterations! I also like this Herringbone skirt which is also perfect for Fall. I can see this with some knee high black boots and a cute blazer. Depending on the cut or style, I usually wear a 00 but sometimes will have to size up to a 0 if it's teeny weeny! If anyone is my size or smaller- I highly recommend Bebe skirts!

Last but not least, the Aqua cashmere (adult version) is back at Bloomingdales!! This comes in cream, black and gray cashmere. I MUST MUST have the gray one!!! I have it in the Girls version in both cream and black. I am told by the SA at Bloomingdales that it is supposed to come back in the Kid's version this Fall so I will keep an eye out. The deluxe villa we are staying at is over 1200 sq.ft!!! That's larger than most people's apartments! You get to tan on your own private deck and there's a separate living room, huge walk-in closet, bath and master bedroom...unbelievable! I will take lots of pictures to share with everyone!

Banana Republic Fitting Room: Why I Don't Wear Pants

The day I got my Banana Khaki Blazer, I tried on some pants for fun. I haven't bought pants in so long because I just simply gave up hope. Here is why:

Petite Martin Pinstriped Pants (size 00p)

I can't remember the exact name but think they are the Martin Pants. These were in the sale rack but I believe they may be similar to the ones AlterationsNeeded and PAG tried on and were huge on them too!

I had high hopes for these but again- thumbs down!

White Cropped Pants- size 00p

What's up with this? #1- it's not a true cropped pants on a petite and #2- the waist was huge!

It was hard to capture but these were so big and just boxy and ugly. The pockets were huge and overwhelming- I couldn't believe it! It just was NOT flattering and made my but look non-existent and square (ISH).

It must be so old and on major sale that I can't find it online. But the fit was totally wrong and hated the halter criss cross back.

The only score I got was my khaki blazer. So not too impressed right now with BR and I normally have pretty good luck. Hope they revise their sizes and come up with some cuter stuff for fall!

Ann Taylor Granite Suede Pumps and Accessories

I was determined to find a way to wear my bib necklace to work instead of letting it collect dust for special occasions. And I just got my Ann Taylor Suede Pumps in the mail so here is what I put together for work:

Top: Banana Republic Factory Button-Up- size XXSP (similar HERE)

Skirt: Bebe White SKirt- size 00 (similar HERE)

Necklace: Ann Taylor Bib Necklace (similar HERE and HERE)

Shoes: Ann Taylor Granite Suede Pumps- size 5 (sold HERE or in Porcini)

I was really hopeful for the Ann Taylor Suede Pumps but they are a bit too big BUT I love them so much that I am going to figure something out. Anyone else guilty of doing this? Trying to fit into something that is too big and keeping it because it's just so pretty? I am thinking if I add some heel padding or foot petals, it will help. It's still doable but loose (and slips). They are very high quality and very comfortable. If they were 1/4" smaller- they would be perfect. So they definitely run bigger than your average size 5. The heel is just right and the padding inside makes it not as uncomfortable as most other pumps. I have my porcini's coming too so that will be the same issue w/those but maybe just maybe I can make it work!!!

I got tons of compliments today at work for my necklace! I thought it would be TOO much for a business environment but it just peeked out from my collared shirt. Thanks for everyones tips and suggestions the other day!

Petite Lookbook: Weekend Brunch With Khaki And Porcini

Remember my khaki Banana Republic blazer I got for $27.99? Well I ended up getting a price adjustment and got an additional 20% off! Woohoo! They normally don't do that but they made an exception so it never hurts to ask! My Ann Taylor Porcini pumps came on Friday and this is what I wore out this weekend:

Jacket: Banana Republic Khaki Blazer- 00p

Top: H & M Ruffle Shell- size 2

Jeans: H & M Young- size 11/12 (similar HERE in 00SHORT)

Shoes: Ann Taylor Porcini Pumps- size 5

I had to roll up the sleeves because they are a bit too long but luckily the inside is lined with cute white stripes so it looks like I did it on purpose!

Sorry for the plain face and nude lips- I didn't feel like putting on a full face of makeup when I'm not working. This blazer fits nicely and the length isn't too long. Not sure if I can make it work for a business outfit but I liked how it looked with this ensemble.

Here's what it looks like w/the blazer buttoned. I prefer it unbuttoned especially because I want to show off my ruffles! My Ann Taylor Porcini pumps fit better than the granite suede pumps! They are slightly a bit smaller- not by much but just enough to make a difference. So I was pretty pumped about that! I will be keeping both pairs and making them work!

Do you notice how my shirt is untucked? It's really uncomfortable for me NOT to tuck in shirts- I feel frumpy and weird but this top, I tried tucking it for work and it just doesn't work. So with jeans and a blazer- it is a must! But I think it looks good even though it's slightly a bit longer than the blazer....any thoughts?

This is a bit random but I am on the hunt for some jeans. I want to track down the perfect pair so I have placed an order for some petite gap ones in 00 (got on sale for $24.99) and am looking to try a size 23 in Rock and Republic. Stay tuned for a review on those! I'm not sure why I am on this crazy hunt because I know it's pointless and I never wear jeans enough to get my money's worth but what the heck :)

Petite Lookbook: Two Outfits With One Top

Happy Wednesday! I was torn on which outfit I wanted to post today so I just included both! I have on my new LOFT flutter trim blouson top that I got this past weekend and couldn't wait to wear it! Here it is in Pebble Melange Gray, also available in Ribbon Pink (which I also got). Up first is this top paired with the LOFT jacquard skirt in fresh navy:

Too much or does it work? I kind of liked it and it tones down the shimmery skirt...thoughts?

This top surprisingly fits quite well. It has an elastic band on the bottom which I think is meant to be worn with jeans but it's tiny enough where you can tuck in w/no bulge. I cannot stand bulges when tucking in tops! I tend to tuck everything in so it has to be fitted enough so it doesn't look weird. This top reminds me of the Ann Taylor petal shell from months ago that I missed out on the small sizes.

I was really suspect about how this skirt would fit and how I would deal with the shimmer of it (especially) in a business environment. But the waist fits perfectly and the length was a perfect!

And then I tried a totally different outfit with cashmere sweater and pencil skirt:

I think this is supposed to be worn casually due to the cotton body of the shell but I like to dress it up for work and wear it underneath cardigans or jackets.

Good golly the camera is close....its rare I take one this close-up! None of my photos are edited since I don't know how and simply don't have the time so sorry if it scares anyone :)

Need Help: How To Wear Ann Taylor's Bib Necklace

I just got my Ann Taylor Bib Necklace and need help figuring out a way to wear it to work. I didn't expect it to be so big and shiny! Ann Taylor tweeted me and suggested that I pair it with a white collared shirt and have it peek it out for a little bit of bling. Unfortunately I don't have a plain white button up!

It's super pretty but a little too dressy for work so I'm trying to figure out what to wear it with! So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! It's a final sale so there's no returning it. I must find a way to wear it!!!

I went shopping this weekend and didn't find too much. I managed to score a few things.

Pair of low heel navy blue pumps from Nordstrom Rack. I found a similar pair HERE also with a low heel. This is the only color I don't have and figured for the price tag of $39.95 for leather pumps and they fit and are super comfortable, I couldn't go wrong.

Looks black but it's really navy...and looks like a grandma shoe but it's super cute when its on!!!

I found this LOFT skirt in 00p and since it's not a final sale, I grabbed it and wanted to see if I cold pair it with something cute for work. If not, it'll go back. See it on AN here. I wanted to try on the pink too but they didn't have a 00p! PetiteXXS tried it on here.

I went to Forever 21, H &M, Ann Taylor, BR and LOFT and found nothing good this weekend! :( Maybe that's a good thing?? I do have some pumps coming in the mail to look forward to from Ann Taylor so I guess I can't complain!

I gotta vent about Forever 21 for a second, I used to be able to handle the chaos (loud music, teeny boppers etc..) but this time I just had to walk out after attempting to try on 2 tops that looked like they were possibilities. Not sure if their sizings are getting bigger but I haven't found anything cute there in a long time! Is it just me? Did anyone else get anything good this past weekend?

I just love this blazer! I got on sale for only $29.99- see my post here. The length is perfect and no alterations on the sleeves- YAY! I am sure it will make several appearances in the near future until Fall.

I added this necklace with the rose ribbon just for a tiny pop of color.

On another note, I got the Ann Taylor Perfect Leather Pumps and the Perfect Suede Pumps this week for their 30% sale. I really like the Dark Navy but figured I don't wear enough to get my money's worth so went with the granite. I had to scoop up the 5's before they sold out! Had to refresh everyday and a size 5 in the leather pumps popped up again! YAY! Did anyone else take advantage of this sale? I think I am good on pumps for awhile-too many splurges lately (yikes). I have some items from my last Ann Taylor haul that I want to review but the pictures are not turning out so I'll have to play around with it. Have a fabulous weekend! :)

Petite Lookbook: LOFT Royal Blue Wrap Dress- Size 00P

I hope everyone is not sick of all my LOFT posts lately but I bought so much stuff that I have no choice but to wear them! Here is the steal of the century- I got this for $9.88! I usually don't have good luck with LOFT dresses, for some reason they fit me funny and are usually too big. But this one looked tiny on the hanger and I didn't even try it on and it was a final sale so good thing it fits!

I haven't found a wrap dress that fits properly and have never been a big fan of the style but this one, I really liked! I don't have many blue dresses so this was a perfect addition to my wardrobe!

Here's me attempting to take pictures on the side of my house. There's only 2 places during this time that the lighting is not dark.

I had to put a cami underneath because it would not have been work appropriate w/out it:) I still can't get over how cheap this dress is!

Pardon the wrinkles, this was taken after a very long day at work! It looks really nice after it's freshly steamed. I love the length of this, hits a couple inches above the knee which I love!

I have found that most wrap dresses confuse me. Either I don't know how to wrap them properly or the way they are made, it's just weird. What's nice about this one is that it's very simple and easy to wrap- no confusion there. Not sure if anyone knows what I am talking about. (kind of hard to explain)

Shoe Review: Christian Louboutins Pump's- Is It Petite Feet Friendly?

Well the day is finally here........my first pair of Christian Louboutin's are here! It was backordered until September but it came early!!!! If you have been a reader since I started this blog, you know it's almost impossible for me to find pumps that fit properly w/out slipping. I decided to give these a shot despite the high sticker price....*Drum Roll*

Christian Louboutin Simple 100 Black Pumps- size 5

I was super nervous to pull the trigger and spend this much money on a pair of pumps but since I have worn my black Aldo pumps into the ground, I figured instead of getting more cheapie ones that kill my feet, why not invest in one that is of high quality and hopefully will not slip!

I am a sucker for packaging and was shocked the box wasn't prettier...yes it's the small things that get me...I love pretty packaging- especially when you are spending this type of money.

But when I opened up the box and saw this:

I was no longer upset about the boring brown box:) I love shoe pouches and the mini extra heel pouch SOLD ME! LOL

Ah...the infamous RED LEATHER SOLES- soooooo gorgeous. And I am a total sucker for anything make in Italy- ever since my 3 week honeymoon there, I love everything Italian!!!

I didn't even want to take the pumps out of the box- they are so pretty but had to make sure they fit!! When I slipped my foot in one of the pumps, it was like HEAVEN.

Here is my review:

FIT/SIZING: For any petite ladies who have trouble finding pumps that don't slip, well I am here to tell you, the size 35 (US size 5) fit perfectly w/no slippage. No need for any added padding or foot petals! I walked around in my house (since they are new- I could). The sizing I would say must run a tiny bit smaller than most 5's because I have never had this luck! Even my Aldo size 5's have some slippage.

QUALITY: Made in Italy...must I say more? The leather is like unlike any of my leather shoes. It's truly unbelievable. I have to say it is my first pair of pumps that is this expensive and this well made.

HEEL HEIGHT: Heel height is 3.5" which is the perfect height. Most of my Aldo pumps are 4" + so this felt very comfortable. I decided on the regular leather vs. the patent ones because of the heel heigh. Patent ones were 4". I think I made a smart decision!

SLIPPAGE?: I can't believe I am going to say this but NO slippage! This alone is worth the money! I am a true size 5 (can't fit into a 4 or 4.5) but have realized not all size 5's are not treated equal so anytime I find a small 5- it's worth any amount!

VERDICT:Keeping, keeping, keeping and want MORE, MORE, MORE! My next mission is to get these in the stone color.....but I may have to refrain and wait just a bit longer!!!

I ultimately decided on the Simple 100's regular black ones instead of the patent simple 100's for the classic heel and classic leather w/rounded toe. Since I wear pumps for work every single day, I figured this would be a good investment for me (FINALLY). I hope I will have the courage to break these in soon...I am quite nervous- I don't want to ruin them!!! Did I make the right decision going w/the Simple 100's?

I have tried other parts of my backyard but the way the sunsets, it's too dark so sorry for the same backdrop:(

What I love about this skirt is that it's very different! And even though it's made out of polyester (*ish*), it feels and looks like silk. The bow detail is so darling! It's hard to see the color but the skirt is navy blue- not black.

With a skirt like this, I had to make sure the top was really fitted and able to tuck in nicely so I chose this form fitting tank. And because it's more of a casual, fun skirt, I thought I'd add some pearls to make it more sophisticated.

Here's with the pink tee I got....couldnt decide if I liked a lighter top or the navy...I'm thinking navy??

The top is actually a very pale pink- not white. I wanted to try pink with this skirt just for fun.

I never buy blush- the Lancome Blush Subtil was a gift from my sister but I usually use the freebies from gifts I get from Lancome. I am a cheap a** when it comes to buying make-up :)

Petite Lookbook: Yellow Linen Mini

I wanted to show a different side of me since I always do "work" outfits so here is a dress I pulled out of my closet that is definitely different from my other outfits. I got this about a year ago and have only been able to wear when we go on vacation but it still is a piece that stands out for me.

Dress: Twelve by Twelve Linen Mini- size XS

Shoes: Aldo Strappy Sandals- size 5

Believe it or not, this dress is super heavy!!! You would think it would be made cheap since it's a Forever 21 line but this is one of the rare items that is actually constructed well! I was drawn to it because it's so different than what I've seen before! The large BOLD belt definitely adds a statement- love the chunkiness of it!

Okay so the length is very mini but it's something I wouldn't wear to work- that would be scary!!! It's probably the shortest dress I own!

You can wear it strapless too which I haven't done because as fitted as it is, it's quite roomy in the chest area and I am afraid it will fall down. But I detached them so you can see what it would look like.I couldn't find anything exactly like this since I bought this last year so here are my yellow dress picks!

Petite Review: Paige Denim Kids Jeans- Size 12 Girls

I have always been curious about Paige Denim jeans ever since I saw it on Alterations Needed. She is a huge fan and wears a size 23 but I have never been able to track that size down. So I tried on a size 24 at Nordstrom Rack but the waist was huge and the length was way too long. I happened to stumble upon the kids section at Nordstrom Rack and found a pair of Paige Denim in size 12 girls! They looked like they would fit so I thought heck- I'll try it on just for fun. Here they are!

Top: Forever 21 Sweater- size XS

Sorry for the not so cute outfit but I wasn't going for a lookbook post, just had to throw on a top for this review purpose!!!

WAIST: Fits really nicely with little to no GAP in the back which is usually a big issue for me and I am sure for many other petites with small waists. I don't like wearing belts with jeans so it's crucial for the back of the jeans to fit! Most jeans on me have a huge gap in the back which forces me to pay for alterations. I have done that on all of my jeans in the past and I refuse to do it anymore.
LENGTH: The length is perfect with no alterations on the hem! YAY! I'm a little worried that they might shrink too much so I'll have to be careful when washing. I especially like this because it's not super skinny on the bottom, it's like a skinny straight cut which fits nicely!

BUTT: Not the cutest butt jeans but it fits really snug....which is rare!

COLOR: I love this dark wash and it will be nice to switch off from my H & M Young jeans.

QUALITY: As far as I can tell, the quality seemed really well made. The stitching was all nice and perfect.
VERDICT: Keeping!!!

I got them on sale for only $19.99. Not a bad price compared to the regular sizes for women. I know how hard it is for us petite ladies to find jeans that fit properly so I had to share this recent find with everyone. I'm not one to want to spend money on tailoring jeans because I don't wear them often enough to make it worth it. I guess shopping in the girls department for jeans is working out for me :)

Petite Lookbook: Pretty in Pink

This was a last minute post but I wanted to share with everyone my first Ann Taylor accessory purchase!! I was super nervous because it was a FINAL sale which means, if I didn't like it- I had to keep it no matter what! Well luckily for me, I loved it! Good thing I got both colors!!

Top: B.P. Nordstrom's Sweater- size XS (similar HERE)

This sweater top is so old but one of my favorites. Love the button sleeves and the fit. I am shocked that it hasn't started pilling up yet!

B.P (Nordstroms brand) has some cute shoes and tops. It's a Junior's brand so the sizing always runs small!

When I first opened up my Ann Taylor package, I was pleasantly suprised that each necklace was carefully wrapped in an adorable Ann Taylor black velvet pouch! LOVED the presentation! Then when I lifted up the first necklace, I was thinking- these are so freaking heavy! How on earth could I wear these??

But once I put them on, I fell in LOVE! They are so HIGH quality- I was SHOCKED! I have had my eyes on these puppies for so long but I couldn't pull the trigger when they were full price! When the 40% sale was going on, I couldn't resist for a mere $11.99!!! Bought both the pink and plum! (still ON SALE and available) I have my eye on the bib necklace (also on sale) and the 3 strand fresh water pearl necklace. Next sale, I am going to snatch those up too! Hope they are available!

The tiny ribbon detail is my favorite! I am now a HUGE fan of Ann Taylor accessories! I was so excited that I wore them the next day:)

I'm going shopping this weekend yet again so hopefully I will find more goodies to post next week!
